royal interiors and principal masterpieces
(about 2 hours)
We begin our tour on the Palace Square, where I tell you about the history of the Imperial residence, how it became a museum, and why it is called the Hermitage. I share the historical events that unfolded on the square and in the palace, and where the Hermitage cats live.

The Hermitage tour includes visiting the state rooms of the Winter Palace (the residence itself), as well as the museum halls that have been adorned with masterpieces of world art for over two centuries, including works by classical masters such as Da Vinci, Raphael, Titian, Caravaggio, Canova, Rembrandt, and Rubens.
